Board Member - Rita Morgan
Rita Morgan is an Independent Contractor who has worked/volunteered
for a number of area animal rescue organizations and worked to
successfully pass a number of state animal cruelty laws. She views this
work as one of the most rewarding aspects of animal activism. Giving a
voice to the most vulnerable among us through legal protections is a
powerful force for driving change in society and reducing animal neglect
and cruelty cases. It’s also essential for law enforcement and
prosecutors so they have the tools to successfully charge and prosecute
Rita’s decision to join the NWESC board was due to her desire to be
part of an organization that is tireless in its dedication to healing
the victims of neglect and abuse and that provides a positive and
supportive community base focused on protecting horses through
compassion, sound medicine, collaboration and advocacy.
Rita lives in Monroe with her 2 rescue pit bulls, Missy and Monkey.
She enjoys walking in her neighborhood with her 2 constant companions,
making delicious vegan meals and spending time with her friends and
family, usually volunteering or supporting the many wonderful animal
rescue and animal rights organization in the great Northwest!
