Horses available for adoption
Beau
15-year old, 16H, chestnut warmblood gelding
He is sweet, friendly and was trained in upper level dressage. While Beau is a beautiful mover, he is currently not ride-able at this time due to a back injury. Beau came to NWESC from a loving home who had purchased him with his undisclosed back problems. While his back is coming along nicely with acupuncture, chiropractic and massage, he still has a ways to go both physically and emotionally. Currently we are helping him work through the emotional component of his pain which resulted in panic and rearing episodes.
Beau is respectful in the herd and gets along well with all types of horses. Being very social, he does have a tendency to get a bit herd bound and will weave in his stall if separated from the other horses. For those reasons Beau would do best in a herd type of environment with full turnout.
Overall Beau is confident, smart, and willing. At this time, his is available for adoption only to a home that guarantees no intent of riding because of his back injury. He has proven to be a great therapy horse for NWESC and will remain as such until the perfect home comes along.
Beau’s adoption fee is $500
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application, reference check and site visit prior to a horse being adopted.
NWESC has a strict no breeding policy.
